Featuring slightly odd 1794x1080p resolution, the smartphone will have 5-inch display. It seems the success of Samsung Galaxy Note has led HTC to jump in the 'phablet' arena. We have already seen companies like LG launch devices like Optimus vu, which also sports an over 5-inch display. According to a report in Digitimes, the smartphone is expected to be launched in September-October. The report is short on details, but a similar leak from a benchmarking website suggests that this HTC smartphone might have Qualcomm S4 processor with Adreno320 graphics iPhone 4S Cases. Other specs are still unknown and we are yet to see a mock-up or leaked image of the smartphone. With the last few quarters not being great for the company, HTC really needs a few rockstar devices and while One X is a good smartphone, it is time to look for its follow-up.

Smartphone maker HTC shares hit nearly 4-yr low on grim outlook

Shares of HTC plunged by their daily limit for a second straight session to an almost four-year low on Tuesday, after the Taiwanese smartphone maker's forecast for a slide in quarterly revenue led to a raft of brokerage downgrades. The world's No.5 smartphone maker, once one of the industry's high flyers but badly hit by competition from Apple Inc and Samsung, on Friday forecast as much as a 23 percent fall in third-quarter revenue, much worse than analysts' forecasts. "There are some views that HTC may post a loss in as early as the fourth quarter this year," said Michael On, managing director of Beyond Asset Management. "Its future is not looking good. It can't compete with Samsung. Even when its share price was at its last HTC Touch screen lows the company was at least still making a profit." Shares of HTC had shed 7 percent to T$240.50, their lowest since November 2008, as of 0120 GMT. The broader market was up about 0.2 percent. HTC, formerly a contract maker, had a fairytale ride in 2010 and early 2011, when its shares more than tripled in the 14 months to April 2011, reaching T$1,238.10. The company's sales grew four-fold in 1-1/2 years as consumers snapped up its innovative Samsung Cases phones with their distinctive large clock numerals. But it suffered an equally rapid fall from grace as its phones failed to keep up with Apple's iPhones and Samsung's Galaxy range. HTC sees third-quarter revenue at between T$70 billion and T$80 billion. That compares with T$91 billion in the second quarter, and analysts' average estimate of T$92.51 billion in a Thomson Reuters poll. HTC's grim outlook further disappointed analysts after Samsung Galaxy S III i9300 Cases the company posted another forecast-lagging second-quarter result last month, and many downgraded the company to "sell". Sanford Bernstein analyst Pierre Ferragu, who has been a believer in the Taiwanese company but joined the latest wave of downgrades, and cut it to 'market perform'. Ferragu noted the increasing challenges the company will face from Apple and Samsung, and said its lack of brand visibility will further drive down its share price and gross margin. Further enhancing its brand to compete with Apple and Samsung is vital for HTC, many analysts say. "The HTC x one is a very good product, but consumers are ignoring it over Samsung's Galaxy S3 because of the brand," said Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi, who based in California. "I feel like they have to step up their game, they cannot afford to operate the way they did four years ago when they were the new kid on the block. It is almost like a kid going to junior high to college and still playing around as it was a kid."

Apple Wins Stay On Samsung Non-Copy Notice Ruling

After ruling that Samsung’s tablet was not as cool as the iPad, the U.K. court considered that a proper way to compensate iPad Cases the South Korean manufacturer was, among others things, for Apple to post a message Samsung Cases which publicly clears Samsung of any accusations that it copied the iPad’s design. The fruit-company has managed to score a stay in the case, at least until October, when Apple can be heard Blackberry Housing in front of the court. Those of you who hoped to see a huge “Samsung did not copy us” message while going to Apple’s website will have to wait a little bit more, at least until the beginning of Q4. Apple will undoubtedly try to make the ruling go away, one way or the other, and by that time the next iPhone will hopefully be out there to compete with the ever so popular Galaxy S III.

iPhone 5 Caught On Camera? The Latest Leaked Pics Arrive

If we’re to believe the general timetable being rumored for the release of Apple’s iPhone 5, we ’d hope that the manufacturer had settled upon a final handset design by this point. So far, we’ve seen pictures of a number of components purported to be parts of this next iPhone, but beyond just the provenance of those pieces,Samsung Galaxy Note i9220 Cases it’s also been hard to tell exactly how up-to-date they may be. With the clock ticking down to the iPhone 5′s eventual release, we’re getting yet another look at at what may be next-gen iPhone hardware, and once again thanks to a case manufacturer. It’s anyone’s guess if this model consists of legitimate Apple parts, or if it may have been constructed from leaked specifications, the kind of which we’ve seen surface before. It certainly seems to hit all the iPhone 5 notes we’re expecting: taller screen with a new aspect ratio, bottom-mounted headphone jack, and that new, smaller dock HTC LCD screen connector. Lately, the rumors have been looking to an iPhone 5 launch as soon as late September, barely giving us a chance to get into fall. Frankly, though, such suggestions have been all over the place, and we could just as easily get our iPhone 5 news earlier in the month, or even in October. For the time being, we’ll have to keep waiting for a better look at the handset; if anyone can get their hands on an operational model, it would be a coup. Knowing Apple’s security, we may just have to sit tight for the official unveiling.

HTC 5-inch Smartphone with Full HD Resolution in the Works

HTC fans yearning for a smartphone that sports a larger screen and packs a Full HD resolution could be seeing the device of their dreams soon enough, as the manufacturer is reportedly working on 5-inch handset that is said to feature an impressive display Cell phone Antenna. With reports citing an unusual resolution of 1794 x 1080, HTC's next flagship handset will most likely feature a full 1920 x 1080 panel and is expected to launch in either September or October. Though it seems the device will omit 126 vertical lines for Android's onscreen navigation buttons that was introduced in version 4.0 of the operating system, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. A July GLBenchmark result that matches the resolution and states Android as the OS adds some backing to these claims, as well as the mention of Qualcomm's MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 SoC paired with Adreno 320 graphics that turned up on the GLB information sheet. Powered at a max speed of 1.5GHz, this processor could maintain HTC's reputation for leading the pack in the Android spec race, while providing a nice match to the incredibly high resolution that is being reported. A Growing Trend While HTC has not confirmed such rumors, these speculations may not be far off, as smartphone screens have been increasing in size for years, evident in Samsung's current flagship device, the Galaxy S III, which recently launched with a 4.8-inch display. Not to mention Sammy's Galaxy Note, which sports a 5.3-inch display, has sold by the million, proving that consumers are no longer deterred by a bigger device, as long as it packs a larger HTC Aria Cases display. Also jumping on the bandwagon, LG recently announced a matching 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display. Though HTC traditionally updates its Android lineup twice-a-year, with the fall refresh usually being less impressive than the spring release, a 5-inch flagship equipped with Full HD resolution could upend that trend if reports of this autumn release hold true.

T-Mobile Drops HTC One S Price by $50

In a day apparently full of smartphone deals, T-Mobile has cut the price of the HTC One S by $50, selling the device for $150. Yet, perhaps the carrier also has ulterior motives for discounting the handset, say to make Samsung LCD room for the fall release of HTC's latest flagship model. Customers must sign a new two-year carrier agreement to get this price, which includes a mail-in Samsung Galaxy Ace Cases rebate if $50. T-Mobile has also waived the usual $35 activation fee, remnant of Sprint's latest offering for the newly discounted iPhone 4S. The 4.3-inch device sports a HD Super AMOLED screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution and packs a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. Featuring 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board memory, built-in Beats Audio technology and an 8 MP rear-facing camera, the HTC One S runs Android 4.0, though an upgrade to version 4.1, codenamed Jelly Bean, has been promised. The special offer will last until Aug. 21, but before indulging in this bargain, be sure to read Brighthand's full review of the HTC One S to find out more about its great performance but insufficiently sharp display. An Additional HTC Model? With AT&T dropping the price of HTC's flagship model, the One X, by 50 percent last week, it seems a little odd that T-Mobile would also cut the price of its HTC smartphone; unless of course both carriers are preparing space for Nokia LCD a new device by HTC. Known as the One X+, the rumored handset is said to come packing a full HD 1280 x 720 resolution display, a quad-core 1.7 GHz Tegra 3 processor and will run Android 4.1 out of the box. While HTC has yet to confirm such whispers, the recent discounts to its earlier devices are mounting evidence that we should be seeing this smartphone sometime soon.

HTC working on 5-inch 1794 X 1080 display phablet set to debut this fall

Writing about rumored handsets is always exciting, but we get a little giddy when new handsets pop up on our radar which have potential change the way HTC competes in the smartphone market. According to industry sources, HTC is working on a new device which will debut this fall – featuring a 5-inch 1794 x 1080 display with a mind Blackberry Bold 9000 Cases boggling pixel density of 418 PPI. To put that inter perspective, this new 5-inch display features a 34% PPI increase over the HTC One X and even a 26% PPI increase over Apple’s fabled Retina Display on the iPhone 4. To make things even better, the rumored device matches up with benchmark scores which were posted to the web a few week ago for the mysterious HTC 6435LVW. Powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 SoC, the HTC 6435LVW featured benchmark scores which nearly doubled those of the HTC One X, leaving some to speculate that it could be the first handset to hit the market with the more powerful Adreno 320 GPU. While HTC did promise to cut back on the number of devices it would focus on in 2012, we doubt any of you are going to complain when you first lay eyes on the 5-inch full HD display. Now all we need to HTC Desire S Cases know is if HTC will be including an Active Pen and HTC Scribe which would allow the device to compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Note.

HTC Sense 4.1

As usual, HTC is always looking to improve its software to deliver a better experience to its handsets. While the latest AT&T HTC One X update to Android 4.0.4 had a few minor tweaks, it looks like HTC may soon have another update which will deliver Android 4.0.4 with HTC Sense 4.1. The software has managed to make its way into the hands of a few folks on XDA-Developers Blackberry LCD who have already turned it around and backed it into a new ROM for the international HTC One X. Like the update for the HTC One X on AT&T, Sense 4.1 fixes the “action overflow” feature in Android 4.0 by removing the menu bar that HTC had placed Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250 Cases at the bottom of the screen and allows users to configure the capacitive multitasking button on the device to access the menu functionality within apps. The second main feature is the return of the Quick Settings tab in the notification shade, giving users direct access to handset settings without having to dive into the main settings page or waste valuable screen real estate with widgets. We expect HTC will be pushing out Sense 4.1 to the HTC One X, One S and One V in the coming weeks. But if you can’t wait that long, we suggest you check in with your favorite ROM developers to see if you can get Sense 4.1 a little sooner. Live wallpaper lag has been fixed. Dedicated button in the Camera app to switch between Front/Backward facing cameras Dedicated button to switch tabs in the browser Removal of all 3D-Effects Blackberry Curve 9360 Cases in the launcher Updated kernel with speed improvements Wifi-dropping/ Icon showing weak signal fixes Better Battery life improvement

Research in Motion is Co-Sponsering this year’s Mobile Pwn2Own contest with AT&T, HP DVLabs, and TippingPoint. The event will be held in Amsterdam on September 19th and 20th at the EUSecWest conference. The concept is to show the security posture of the most common mobile technologies including attacks on mobile web browsers, Near Field Communication (NFC), Short Message Service (SMS), and the cellular baseband. Contestants will be able to choosen from a list of different devices, including the BlackBerry Bold 9930, Samsung Galaxy SIII, the Apple iPhone 4s and the Nokia Lumia 900. All devices will be using the most current OS to make sure the event is fair. A successful attack against these devices must require little or no user interaction and must compromise or exfiltrate useful data from the phone. Any attack that can incur cost upon the owner of the device (such as silently calling long-distance numbers, eavesdropping on conversations, and so forth) is within scope. To avoid interfering with licensed carrier networks, all RF attacks must be completed within the provided RF isolation enclosure. The vulnerabilities utilized in the attack must be an 0-day. Of course no competition is anything without a prize for the winner. If you compromise enough you will win a cash prize, the device itself and 20,000 ZDI points which qualifies them for silver status. (Benefits of ZDI Silver standing include a one-time $5,000 USD cash payment, 15% monetary bonus on all ZDI submissions over the next calendar year, 25% reward point bonus on all ZDI submissions over the next calendar year and paid travel and registration to attend the 2013 DEFCON Conference in Las Vegas

We heard about RIM coming out with a Photo Editing application on BlackBerry 10 and now we are getting to see glimpses of it bumper case for iphone 4S.
