Samsung Galaxy S4 priced higher than iPhone 5 in the US

AT&T says it will start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4, the season's most eagerly awaited smartphone, on April 16 for $250. The amount is $50 above the usual introductory price for high-end smartphones, including Apple's iPhone 5. AT&T didn't say when the phone will go on sale in stores, or when the pre-orders will be delivered, but pre-orders usually start a week or two before deliveries. The S4 is the successor to the Galaxy S III, which has been the biggest competitor to Apple's iPhone. Samsung I9300 LCD AT&T is the first U.S. carrier to announce a price and pre-order date, but others have said they'll sell the phone. British carriers started taking pre-orders on Thursday. So far, there is no word in regards to India availability or what could be the tentative price for this smartphone, but if the Amazon UK factory unlocked price of 699 pounds is any indication, we can expect a price-tag well in the north of Rs. 50,000. Samsung  had unveiled the Galaxy S4 smartphone on 14 March. The phone sports a 5-inch full-HD screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, and pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core processor in some regions, and a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor  in others. It has 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX544MP3 triple-core GPU. The smartphone will come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants but will also feature a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. The Galaxy S4 sports a 13-megapixels rear shooter and a 2-megapixel one on the front.Samsung Housing The Galaxy S4 also offers more camera features including dual-shot, employing the use of both front and back camera, an eraser shot mode to remove people from photos, and a Cinemagram like feature called Cinema Photo, among several other tricks.

Samsung Galaxy Note III to come with 5.9-inch screen

Samsung Galaxy Note II successor has been making quite a buzz recently. It was being speculated that Samsung Galaxy Note III may come with a 5.9-inch screen. Now, GSMArena via Korea Times is reporting that Samsung cell phone Parts this is indeed confirmed news. Korea Times mentions that they have picked this information up from Samsung's main parts suppliers. Furthermore, the report also states that the Samsung Galaxy Note III will be launched in US through telecom operator AT&T in the near future. As per earlier rumours, Samsung Galaxy Note III will be launched at IFA 2013. IFA 2013 will be organised between 6 to 11 September in Berlin (Germany). There were also news reports that suggested that Samsung will be deploying LCD screens made by Sharp for its Galaxy Note III. The recently announced Exynos 5 Octa processor will allegedly power this phablet. It is noteworthy that Samsung Galaxy Note II was announced at IFA 2012. It sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. Samsung Galaxy Note II is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front camera on the phablet. The Note II has received a good response from the consumers. The company had shared that the device topped 5 million units in just first two months since it started shipping. Samsung was the first company to foray into the phablet space in 2011 with its Samsung Galaxy Note device.iPhone 5 lcd However, in the recent past many companies have forayed into this category. But now there is a buzz that given the popularity of Note devices, the company may decide to launch the phablet earlier in an unpacked event in US on lines of Samsung Galaxy S4 launch.

Nokia wins German patent ruling against HTC

A German court ruled in favour of Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia on Tuesday, saying some devices made by Taiwan's HTC infringed on its power-saving patent. The case was one of 22 infringement suits Nokia has brought against HTC in Germany, a major battleground in the global patent war between makers of mobile phones, tablet computer devices and their operating software. "Nokia is pleased with this decision, which confirms the quality of Nokia's patent portfolio," Nokia said in an e-mailed statement iPad 2 Parts. The power-saving patent refers to a technology for saving battery power while connected to a network. HTC said its business in Germany would not be affected by the Mannheim regional court's ruling as it covers only three handsets the company no longer imports into the country.Samsung cell phone Parts It said it would appeal the decision while also continuing efforts to have the patent declared invalid by the German Federal Patents Court and the English Patents Court. Nokia said it has also asserted the power-saving patent against HTC in the UK and at the United States International Blackberry Parts Trade Commission, with a hearing in the United States to start in two months.
