Bad news for all folks that were eagerly waiting for news with the Gingerbread (2. 3) update for that HTC Desire. Unfortunately HTC announced sooner today on their UK Facebook page how the HTC Desire will in actual fact not be receiving the long-awaited update towards the latest version of the actual Android OS. “Our engineering teams are already working hard within the past few months to find methods to bring Gingerbread to that HTC Desire without discovering the HTC Sense experience you’ve arrive at expect from our mobile phones. However, we’re sorry to mention that we’ve been forced to just accept there isn’t enough memory to let us both to bring Gingerbread and maintain HTC Sense experience for the HTC Desire. We’re sincerely sorry for that disappointment that this news may bring Blackberry Touch screen with a of you. The reasoning might not seem to be most convincing to a few users, especially considering that numerous 2. 3 Sense ports for that Desire are already on XDA, however it’s a disgrace for users who aren’t well known or confident in rooting their phone so are forced to stick considering the current installed version with Android on their HTC Need. I guess the biggest let down is the fact HTC LCD screen at the start of your year HTC actually stated that this Desire WOULD be qualifing for the Gingerbread update and got many people Siemens Flex Cable impatiently waiting for Summer to arrive and take us our ginger flavoured address. It’s a shame that a common update HTC were qualified to provide Desire owners has been Froyo, and that was only 2 months following the phone release date. Unfortunate day for Desire lovers, but I know a lot (including myself) are pleased to use their phone while it is and will pursue to use it for the particular foreseeable future.
